Before my son Lee was killed he was being groomed to take over the family business. It took years and alot of hard work establishing the company which manufactured kitchen cabinets etc. When we moved into a larger premises Lee installed all the office cabinets. He tiled the floor in the showroom and then supervised the displays. With excellent computer skills Lee was able to build software to run the machinery.
So when Lee died the business lost its future leader. His parents were so grief stricken they were unable to perform their usual roles. The business lacked leadership vital to the smooth running of the business.
5 years on, it's time for me to get to know the company all over again and learn how to be a leader. It needed new proceedures to improve its viability. I look around the office and factory. Lee's presence is still strong. Yet there are others who dont feel what I feel. They believe I should be better than I am
Today I updated the employee records. I knew Lee's records were still in the folder. He would always be a part of our family business and I would always keep his records with current employees. My heart started to sink and panic threatened to engulf my body. I couldnt find Lee's records. Frantic I went through 2 folders eventually finding him with the ex-employees.
Lee is safely back where he belongs under lock and key. His spirit alive and energy strong. The office clerk had no idea that by moving Lee in the ex-employee folder she might as well stick a knife into his mothers heart. Lee didnt leave for another job and he didn't get sacked. He lost his job because he died.

Dear Julie,
Only we can understand the emotion that led to this fatal ripple story, I do state, I do not support the actions however I do understand the suffering grief as I am sure you can too.
