1 year on tomorrow...would love to laugh joke and be merry but i cant. will be wearing my sunnies all day tomorrow i think...:-(

I found the anticipation leading up to the first anniversary was far worse than the actual day.
We took flowers to the site, which was quite moving and where we shed a few tears.
Later we went for meal and drinks to remember Rhys and Jake and to thank Dave for having the strength to stay with us. There we laughed (was good to see Dave laughing and smiling again) and actually had a good time remembering.
I hope your day, like mine, was not as bad as you anticipated, and that good memories overweighed the sad.

it wasn’t to bad..didn’t go to the grave just went to places in town and barker that her and i shared and i caught up with friends that she and i had. I got a little drunk it is hard drinking for two. Was such a nice day weather wise but so yes i did need my sunnies for most of the day not only for the tears that roll down my face. Of course the anticipation could be worse than the actual day because you know it is coming, i had harder time on her 30th birthday that she didn’t make it to, seeing her friends, mum, dad, sisters and son that day was extremely hard. thank you XXX
