Introduction
Journey Beyond Road Trauma is not formally affiliated with any other organisation, nor is it competing with already existing organisations in any way.
We do not intend to diminish the work of any road trauma group or initiative. In fact, it is one of our objectives to…
Complement the activities of existing road trauma groups and initiatives, and connect people with services in their local area.
Within the site, we hope you will freely use the community to:
- Add your organisation to the support services directory
- Create a group for your organisation
- Promote your services
- Promote your real-world events
- Lead forum discussions
Please link to our website from your own site. Please also use the site to further the education programs that you run.
We hope community groups will take advantage of our online community and use it to network with clients and other services. In return, we hope you will promote our community to your existing networks in your meetings, email alerts and newsletters.
If you are willing and able, any donations to the community would be very appreciated.
Please contact us to discuss collaboration
Getting started
If your organisation is not listed in our support services directory please contact us so we can include it.
When you have joined the community the best way to communicate with your existing and potential new members is by creating a group.
When you create a group, use your organisation name as the group name. Insert your logo where you are asked to insert an image. Under description you can add details about what your organisation is about and the services it offers. We recommend that organisations make their groups ‘public’ rather than private. This means that other members of the Journey Beyond Road Trauma community can learn what your group (and therefore, organisation) is about. Members can then join your group and keep up to date with what you are doing.
When you create a group, you are the administrator of that group. That means you can post news items such as, ‘This Thursday we are holding a group counselling session’. Anyone who has joined your group will get an email telling them about the new news item.
If you need us to talk you through this process please contact us, or see our FAQs for more information
