My daughter died in a car accident on the 15th March 2008,

I wanted to let the whole world know. I decided to put something on the back  window of my vehicle. I wanted people to have food for thought, I wanted to bring a message to everyone who was behind me at the lights, behind me at McDonald or Hungry Jacks, or at a car cark.

I wanted people to understand that even though she was a real person she was also a statistic  and vis vera .

The " thank you's" I get for this message and the reactions I get from are all very positive, it it worth seeing the looks on a young person's face when they are driving really close to me, then when they read what I have written on the back window, they back right off.

What I wrote:                             Shalisha

Was our 16yr old daughter who on the

                            15th March at 2:30pm became the 17th

statistic on the Qld roads. Please drive

carefully and consider others on the Road

I would like to encourage all who have been affected by a death of a family member or a  death of a friend to do the same because I can say that it really does affect people and make them think. I have even had people come up to me in the shopping centre car parks and I have been able to tell them a little bit more and share my story.

Shalisha was killed because someone else was a tired driver

(my husband)   if it hadn't been him I would have mentioned it was due to a tired driver to make people aware of driver fatigue .it would be good to see more of these signs on car windows. as it really does make people think!!!!
