I'm feeling Sad.
I'm looking for connections with others affected by road trauma and people who understand grief and loss.
I'm here because I want to remember someone who has passed away as a result of a road collision and I want to create a memorial.

My son was killed in a road accident on his 21st birthday. July 17 and 18 2002. It is a very lonely place to live in despite counselling, distractions, trying to get on with life. I have found you have to learn a different etiquette - don't talk about it because others are uncomfortable, pretend you feel ok when you don't so people think you are coping. Don't talk about it because you don't want to open wounds of grief for other family members. I hurt particularly for my youngest son who is now married because there is nothing I can do to fix it for him. I'm not bitter or angry - I just miss my boy.
There aren't any at the moment.
