I'm looking for opportunities to educate others about the effect of reckless driving.
I'm here because I want to remember someone who has passed away as a result of a road collision.
I've been a member since 16 Aug 2010
33 years ago my older brother crossed the Nullarbor on his motorbike for a holiday. On the way back to Perth he left the road and was killed instantly with a broken neck. I have never visited the site, but I believe he went straight at a bend and hit one of very few trees that were around. He was 20 yo, I was 18...
The police came to our house in the middle of the night and told my parents who then woke me and my other brothers. We were all in shock and did not know how to express our emotions. There was a lot of silence and quiet crying over the next few days.
It was my first experience of the loss of someone so close and I often had dreams where he would come home and I would be the first to realise that it had all been a mistake.
Piss out of the dick you've got (anon)
