Why are you here?
I want to remember someone who has passed away as a result of a road collision, a family member or friend has been affected by road trauma, and I want to create a memorial
What are you looking for?
connections with others affected by road trauma, people who understand grief and loss, ways to support others who have been affected by road trauma, and tools to campaign for road safety

My story:
3 weeks ago on the 8th of December 2011, my daughter was hit by a car and passed away. She was nearly 5 weeks pregnant, and engaged. She was over the moon about the baby. She had loved babies ever since I can remember and always wanted her own. Her fiancee and her were due to come over two days later to help us decorate the xmas tree. We had held this off at her request so that she could be here and we could all do it together. She was eagerly awaiting her new puppy as our pregnant dog was overdue. She had moved out of home 2 weeks before to live with her fiancee. She wanted to be grown up quickly. She wanted to have her own family, hubby and bubby. She leaves behind a shattered family still reeling at the shock and reality of her death. Her Mum, Dad, three brothers, sister and sister in law miss her desperately as of course does her fiancee the father of her little baby. Our Grandchild never had the chance to be born and our daughter never had the chance to live the future she wanted so much. She was a pedestrian hit by a car. We are painstakingly waiting for police and coroner to attribute cause of death. Was it accident, suicide or something else. This indecision also makes us wait with baited breath for the outcome. but no matter what it is, nothing can bring our precious daughter and grandchild back.

My story:
My daughter Elizabeth 19yrs and granddaughter Isabella 8 wks were killed in a car accident 6/012/2011 at Kilcoy QLD, her (boyfriend)of 3 weeks was driving. He had been chastised for speeding on our road one week beforehand and promised he doesn't speed with any one else in the car especially Liz or Bella, how much he lied. I am now lost and empty and can't understand why this happened. How can you stop another person from doing this to another family?
